My Online Identity
Meeting new people was a day to day basis activity when I was abroad. I often met a new person at least once a week before the pandemic because I contributed to many events and communities. When meeting someone new, I would describe myself as a not too talkative person and humble. I often started by introducing myself, where I came from, where I studied and my interests or hobby.
I also introduced myself the same way in an online profile but in more detail. I often started with my name, what I'm doing, where I came from and sometimes where I'm currently, where I studied, my passion, hobbies and interest.
I am quite a presence in online and social media. They are the main platforms for me to share my interests, assessments and build my business. These platforms provide a place for me to arrange all the data I collected and share it. They allowed me to interact with different audiences on each platform.
Often I find myself curious about what google suggests about me. However, the results were not what I expected them to be. Most of them were the products I'm selling on the e-commerce platform. After seeing those, I think I would rather have my work shown on google suggests. Guess I have to work more towards that being happen.
Recently I'm in a part of Indonesian Plant and Yoga communities as it represents my interests. Being in these communities reflects my identity as a nature lover and peaceful wellbeing. I love to portray myself online or offline as a low-profile person.
